You are very welcome to come along to our times of gathering in worship. Our larger service is on Sunday mornings at 11am.
Through Autumn and Spring we also hold ‘moot’ sessions in the evenings, time of hearing and talking of the work of God in people’s lives at this moment. The details are below for both of these times of gathering on Sundays.
Morning: 11am
Our main gathering for sharing in worship
together is held on Sunday mornings, from 11am-12.15pm. We sing, pray, and
share from God’s word. In the early part of the service, our kids participate
in worship and there is a young-orientated interactive word shared. The young
people will then move to various age groups: crèche, miracles&mayhem (m&m’s)
& energize, which are shaped in collaboration with Cathcart Youth Ministry
Partnership.
The preaching is 20-25mins and is intended to bring us to the address of God into our lives through Jesus Christ, giving life and challenge. These are available as live streams on Sundays or as podcasts, running as series across a year. Please go to the home page to pick up the livestream or the resources page for podcasts.
We hold communion towards the end of each Sunday morning service, apart from the 1st Sunday of the month, when it moves to the evening. Here bread is broken to remember Christ’s brokenness for us and wine/grape juice is taken to remember the healing work of Jesus. These are moments of remembering and knowing the grace and forgiveness that is given in Jesus’ death on the cross, found together in his Spirit. Anyone is welcome to share in these moments of grace.
moot: 6.30-7.30pm
A gathering & conversation together
Across autumn and spring we hold ‘moot’ on Sunday evenings – times to gather and hear how God has worked and is working in others’ lives, being encouraged and challenged through the life stories of others. On the 1st Sunday of the month, through these periods, we eat together with an act of communion structured into the meal, following a pattern in the new testament.
This usually takes place within the church setting but also at times in homes. Keep an eye on our events page for details.
