This preparatory work is to make repairs to the gables/copings of our 1950s hall, both externally and internally. Ongoing water and weather damage is affecting the reconstituted stone external walls, the mullions and lintels of the windows, the coping stones/guttering and the internal plastering. The issues have been known for some time and the extent of the problems were identified in a 2024 building survey carried out in preparation for a larger work [regen100: (stage 1) rehobothy project] which is developing our building towards sustainable, accessible, and eco-friendly facilities.
This work needs to be completed prior to our larger development which will follow on, providing more accessible spaces & toilets and will be a sustainable new extension for the work of the church going forward. This preparatory work is the first step towards completing that larger work.
It is underway from November 2026.

This preparatory work is part funded through Cherish Scotland, the Scottish funding path for the National Churches Trust, which has funding sources through the National Lottery.
